Dinner List

Okay, so I'm trying to start making dinner at home more frequently, and this is where I plan to keep my ongoing list of what we've eaten for future references. I feel like it's going to be difficult to balance things when the baby gets here so I want to have dinner ideas on hand. Here's what I've made recently:

Tacos (easy, I know, but a staple here)
Grilled Steak, Corn on the Cob, Salad
Turkey Breast, Mashed Potatoes, and Green Beans
Lasagne
Shake and Bake Pork Chops, Green Beans, Pickled Beets, Kraft Mac and Cheese
Burgers on the grill with baked fries

I plan to update each time I cook something new. Do you have any dinner suggestions that are easy to make?

A new nephew!

We're excited to announce that Dan and Erika will be welcoming a baby boy in December. I'm sure Sophia and their baby will be just as close as Molly and Seth. Domingo and I will have 8 nieces and nephews! :) Congrats Dan and Erika!

The Money Shot

So, Domingo and I started to get nervous about our ultrasound tech only being 95% sure that this baby is a girl. We decided to go to one of those 3D places where they will do a simple 2D ultrasound gender check as well. Again, our little one was being quite shy. She was laying on her side facing my spine with her legs shut! The tech at My Sunshine Baby made me drink some Sunny D and then we got THE MONEY SHOT! Bring on the pink clothes, ruffles, and hair bows!

Happy 3rd Birthday Molly!

Happy Birthday Molly! Yesterday, Dan and Erika had a birthday party for her and she seemed to have a wonderful time! I can't believe our little Molly is 3! Where does the time go?

It's our Peanut Anniversary!

Three years ago today we got our little dog Peanut! She has brought us so much happiness in the last 3 years. It makes me sad to think that she's already 6 1/2 years old! We love her so much! She is the best little doggy ever! Thank you for getting her for us Amy!

A Work In Progress

Sophia's Bedding

My sweet husband finishing up Sophia's crib. He painted the nursery and put her furniture together the day after we found out we're having a girl! We're still waiting on the hutch that goes over her dresser and our glider/ottoman. Domingo is going to put up a chair rail and crown moulding in the nursery as well. This is our work in progress!

It's a.....

its a girl Pictures, Images and Photos
We're so excited that we're having a baby girl...Sophia Grace Palos! We had our anatomy scan today and she was not cooperating very much. Her legs were together and crossed at the ankles. We got a brief glimpse between her legs and the ultrasound tech was 95% sure that it is a girl. That's pretty good odds! There was nothing that resmbled boy parts so I'm hoping she is right. If not, Domingo will have to repaint the room because we've already bought her bedding and the paint for her room! We do have to go back in 8 weeks for another ultrasound. We found out that she has 2 small cysts on her brain and the doctor stressed that it was nothing to worry about. Sometimes it can be markers for Downs Syndrom or a different chromosonal abnormality, but all of my first trimester screenings came back perfect. My blood work showed that I have a 1 in more than 10,000 chance of having a child with Downs Syndrome. To put that into perspective, a normal 30 year old has a 1 in 600 chance of having a child with Downs. Regardless of any abnormalities this baby could possibly have we'll love her just the same! My doctor was more concerned with the fact that my placenta is too close to my cervix. Typically the later you get in pregnancy the farther it moves up. If not, there is a possibility of bedrest (which we do NOT want to happen!) and also a C-section. Hopefully all will be fine at my 28 week ultrasound! For now, we're trying to stay positive and enjoy getting ready for our baby girl!

Sophia Grace Palos in 3D. Can you see her cheek, eye, little nose, and chin? I'm in love with this picture!

Of course her legs would be crossed at our ultrasound that we waited forever for!

Creepy little skeleton picture! She's still cute though!

45 hours and counting!

Domingo and I find out if we're having a boy or a girl in 45 hours! But who's counting as my mom would say! The time passes so slowly! I want it to be Wednesday NOW! Pregnancy is not a good thing for someone who is impatient! I think I have quite a bit of patience...I mean my goodness, I'm a kindergarten teacher. However, when it comes to things I'm really looking forward to, they always seem to take forever to get here! I'm 19 weeks pregnant and I feel like I've been pregnant for 19 months! :) I've started to feel the baby move from time to time. The other day I had a Cinnamon Roll for breakfast. I don't typically eat much sugar so the baby must have really enjoyed that treat. It was moving all around for about an hour! Too bad I'm out of cinnamon rolls or I'd have another one to see if it would make the baby move like that again!
