3 years ago today, Domingo and I were married. Each year we go to the Melting Pot for dinner on our Anniversary...definitely looking forward to that tonight! I can't believe it's been 3 years already. And now we have a baby on the way! In the last 3 years we have had happy and sad times. We ...
*Got Married
*Went to Alaska on our honeymoon
*Got our sweet little Poodle, Peanut
*Had 2 nieces and a nephew born
*Domingo got a great new job
*Dana had 2 back surgeries (and 2 car accidents)
*Bought a house

*And got pregnant!
I can't wait to see what all the next 50 years has in store for us. There's no one else I'd rather spend it with! I started to keep a journal the day we got married, but it didn't last long. I figured I'd put my journal entry into my blog that way I'd always have it. Here's what I wrote about our Wedding Day...
June 24, 2006
Today, I became a wife! I married the man of my dreams! It seems as though the last 3 days have been a blur. It all began on Thursday with some wedding pampering with Grandma. We went to the nail salon to get our nails done. I got a pedicure as well. Thursday night was my Bachlorette Party and Domingo's Bachlor Party. Jacquie planned my last night out as a single girl. We started out at her house where we had Watermelon Martinis and opened "fun" gifts. From there we went to Kabutos for dinner. Mom, Amy, Aunt Sandy, Debbie, Ann, Vanessa, Jacquie, Carlee, Olivia, Jenn, Jessica, Erika, Janice, and Michelle were all there. After dinner, and a few more drinks of course, we headed downtown and spent most of the evening at Cosmo's. Domingo and his guys went to Uptown Cabaret, even though he tried to convince me they went to "Church." I will never drink like I did that night ever again!
Friday, June 23rd, we went to the Fez club for the rehearsal. Dad missed the rehearsal because he had to go to the tuxedo shop. His tux jacket was about 5 sizes too big. We decorated the club and then headed back to Mom and Dad's for dinner. We had Italian Sausage, Rigatoni, and deli trays. The food was so good, even though I was only able to eat a few bites. I had a very nervous stomach that lasted for days! We visited with family and friends for a few hours. Domingo and I gave our wedding party gifts: flasks for the men and weekend tote bags for the bridesmaids-embroidered with their names. We gave Mom and Debbie musical picture frames with a sentimental poem about Moms in it. We gave Dad a money clip that had a poem to go along with it. Finally it was time for some beauty rest. I ended up on the couch at about 4 a.m. because Mikki snores! HaHa! So much for a good night's sleep.
This morning I was a bundle of nerves. It was completely wedding jitters, not marriage jitters. Amy, Erika, Olivia, Jenn, Mikki and I went to Harmony Salon to get our hair done for the wedding. I had my make-up done as well. It looked great. We arrived at the Fez Club as the cake lady was dropping off the cake. It was beautiful and tasted fabulous! Domingo and his groomsmen were getting dressed in one room while all the ladies were getting ready in another. Dan delievered Mingo's wedding gift to me- a scrap book. It was a very sweet gift and he even left blank pages for us to complete together. I sent him a card that told him how much I loved him and that his gift was that we are going SKY DIVING! I must be crazy! Wendy our photographer arrived around 4:00 and took pictures of us getting ready. She was a phenomenal photographer!
I wish I could remember every single detail of our wedding but it seemed to go by so fast. The outside ceremony was absolutely gorgeous. Boats came up to the shore to watch the wedding. Domingo and I smiled, laughed, and cried thoughout the ceremony. I was just so happy to finally marry the man I love. Dan sang "I Do" and got choked up during the song which was one of my favorite moments of the day.
Our reception was great other than the fact that the air conditioner broke! It was so hot!!!!! I was sweating all over my gorgeous wedding dress! The food was awesome. Alan and Kristi catered it and prepared Ginger Citrus Chicken, Pork Tenderloin, Green Beans Almondine, Pasta Salad, Fruit Salad, and Fresh Rolls. Yum!
The night went on with lots of dancing. Jessica caught the bouquet and Mike, Jacquie's boyfriend, caught the garter. Looks like they'll be next! Domingo and I left the reception around 10:15 with a beautiful sparkler send off. I loved that!
Tonight we're staying at the Victorian Villa Bed and Breakfast. It is amazing. Everything I could have ever imagined for my wedding night. Definitely a perfect ending to a perfect day!
